Submit an Essay

One of the goals of the GriffinHarte Foundation is to provide a platform for individuals to publish short essays that address a specific question or issue related to social justice, identity, feminisms, civility, and civic engagement. Essays can be submitted by individuals, or by groups of individuals, who might have participated in a class or community project or who have a position or perspective they would like to share with others.

Essays should be between 100 and 2,000 words and should be written in a style that is civil and respectful of others.

To submit an essay or essays, send the following to cindy@griffinhartefoundation.org:

A brief description of how the essay came to be (part of a class, a question the author or authors have been pursuing, a community project, or the like).*
A brief (two paragraph) biography of the author or authors.*
Contact information. Unless requested otherwise, all contact information beyond the author’s name will be kept confidential. The GriffinHarte Foundation also is willing to discuss the possibility of publishing essays anonymously.*
