Museum of American Military Families From Occupation to Opportunity: A Look at the Life Paths of Former Children of the  Occupation Period.

During World War II, the ban on fraternization, and legal hurdles that made relationships between “occupiers” and “occupied” difficult,  relationships between those considered “occupiers” and those considered “occupied” existed. This program, presented in Munich, Germany, explores  the relationships between German men and American women, the children that resulted from these relationships, and what happened to many of these children. Panelist Peter Grammer, born in 1947, gives insights into his life and talks about his adoptive parents Mabel and Oscar Grammer.
